1-1.2 This standard does not cover the following types of subterranean spaces (a) Tourist caverns (b) Wine storage caverns (c)Gas and oil storage reservoirs (d) Hazardous waste repositories (e) Utility installations such as pump stations (f) Working mines (g) Transportation and pedestrian tunnels (h) Aboveground buildings with belowground stories (i) Cut and cover underground structures specifically addressed in the building code
