Covers the hazards of ignition and explosions in the manufacture of light metal flake powder or paste and atomized light metal granules, or dust of any light metal alloy that is explosive in an environmental atmosphere.
NFPA 651 establishes the minimum requirements to minimize the occurrence of and resulting damage from fire and explosion in facilities that produce aluminum flake powder, aluminum paste, atomized aluminum powder, aluminum granules or any aluminum alloy powder. The standard also applies to the handling and storage of combustible aluminum dusts, powders, or paste. (23 pp., 1998)
