本國際標準規定了輸送汽油和柴油的耐火軟管的一般要求和物理試驗，對于帶有永久安裝燃料系統的小型船只，對于帶有公稱孔徑在10毫米以下的軟管，設計工作壓力不超過0.34兆帕，對于帶有公稱孔徑在10毫米以下的軟管，設計工作壓力為0.25兆帕。
