汽車內飾材料是指：駕駛室及乘客倉內零件所用的有機材料，包括”座墊、座椅靠背、安全帶、扶手、活動式折疊車頂、內飾性襯板、儀表板、雜物箱、室內貨架板、地板覆蓋層、遮陽板、發動機罩覆蓋物、緩沖裝置”等所用有機材料。

水平燃燒測試（水平燃燒速率不超過100mm/min ；火焰在到達測試點前熄滅）

熔滴測試 （燃燒產生的熔滴沒有引起下面棉絮的燃燒）

垂直燃燒測試（垂直燃燒速率不超過100mm/min）

美國標準：

FMVSS 302汽車內飾材料燃燒測試 – 測試要求
試樣不燃燒，或火焰在樣品上水平燃燒速率不超過102mm/min

從測試記時開始，若樣品燃燒時間不到60秒就停止燃燒，且從記時開始那個位置起，樣品的損毀長度沒有超過51mm，則認為其滿足FMVSS302的要求。

內飾材料的燃燒特性必須滿足：燃燒速度不大于100mm/min
